Members: Conor Duggan, Kyle Roof, Vishal SEO and Todd Weeks

Topic – General SEO

Summary:
How to create an SEO business composed of myself which brings in $5000 in profit every month and requires less than 30 hours of work per month…

Kyle: You should operate with 50% margins so you’d need 10K of business. That’s doable.

Members: Alex Guemez, Kyle Roof, Ted Kubaitis, Jason Miller and Todd Weeks

Topic:
General SEO

Summary:
How can I know something is a good backlink or not. For example, I could say that it’s from a .edu domain, … but, is that a good or bad backlink? What are your “metrics” or “indicators” when choosing a backlink…

Kyle:
Traffic might be the best indicator…

3. Users Bounce from SERP. Good for the Snippet?

Members: Shaun Little, Kyle Roof and Vishal SEO

Topics: General SEO
Summary:
If a user bounces from a serp without clicking any results, would this be a positive ranking factor for the snippet?

Kyle: Interesting thought….

4.Google Analytics Bug

Members: James Goldsmith, Lee Witcher and Carolyn Holzman
Topic: General SEO
Summary:
Anyone else experiencing an analytics bug at the moment ?

Lee: What’s the bug?…

5. Entities in Footer Tag. …

Members: Dave L, Vishal SEO and Alex Guemez

Tags: Cora SEO Software

Summary:
Entities in footer tag… Is this already a factor in Cora?

Vishal: It’s not a factor assuming you mean html5 <footer> tag….

6. New Content Brief

Members: Carol Bell and Kyle Roof

Topic: Page Optimizer PRO

Summary:
Is the new content brief more for help writing content than for optimizing an existing page? Confused about what to use in order to optimize a page that is already written.

Kyle: It can help with either. The content brief takes the signal by signal concept and then makes the tougher choices for you. It’s like having a high-level SEO giving you over the shoulder suggestions on the actual words you should put into each section.

7. Finding Content Issues Using the Search Trick.

Topic: Premium | Pro Tips & Tricks

Tutorial:
How to Discover Content Issues with this Little Known Search Trick

Kyle Roof

About the author

Kyle is best known for revealing the “secret” hidden in plain sight: Google’s algorithm is an algorithm. In other words, it all comes down to one thing - Math. Kyle demonstrated this by ranking number one in Google with a page consisting of gibberish text and only a handful of target keywords. Google actually punished him for exposing their algorithm by de-indexing 20 of his test sites and creating a rule in an attempt to de-value his efforts. Kyle has spent the past several years running more than 400 scientific SEO tests to better understand Google's algo. The combined results of those tests became the backbone of the popular SEO tool, PageOptimizer Pro, and they are implemented within his SEO agency on client sites. Kyle also shares his techniques in podcasts, at conferences around the world, and within the platform he co-founded, IMG, a sort of Netflix for SEOs with an active community aspect.
